This page serves as the hub for the Devout's Guild's quests and the Warrior's Guild mark hunts! Each section should be self explanatory. Once the available quests are depleted, or in the process of such, more will be added to the lists. Rules for the quests are set by each guild's respective leaders. These quests are mainly there for guildmembers only, as it aids in their ranking up, but should one of the guildmembers want to bring along "outsiders", then that's perfectly doable as well!

Devout's Guild

Rules

  • Notification that a quest has been accepted must be given to the guild leaders so that this page can be kept properly up to date. Solo quest RPs are accepted within reason. For example: if a chosen quest is to fight a fully grown dragon, it is not something that can be completed alone and at least one partner must be found. More guidelines, as well as payment bonuses, will be added to each quest in the future.

Available

  • Undivine Intervention
    • With a lack of war as of late, a zealot of Aramoth has been going around slaughtering other devout citizens of Lithrydel in an effort to try to start a new fight amongst the people. He’s been riling up the orc followers of Rothik in Gualon with his actions and the more blood he has on his hands, the more the orcs are likely to start their own massacre in response. Help prevent a religious war from outbreaking by talking down the zealot and bring him to justice!
  • Lord Ramses' Curse
    • A spectre from a tomb in Vailkrin has followed a group of thieves out of the Dark City, as they’ve taken a golden tablet from it’s grave, that’s been etched with strange runes. It foretells of a curse that’s coming down the pipeline, one where no one is safe--even those that had nothing to do with the theft. Each night the spectre glides around whatever town the thieves find themselves in, yelling for the cowardly dogs to return its slab, or else suffer the consequences!

In Progress

  • The Blue-eyed White Dragon
    • Evil lurks within the mountains of Frostmaw once more. More beast than sentient creature, a young blue-eyed white dragon has been on a rampage, sending droves of winter wolves and wyverns down the mountain-side, leaving them no choice but to attack miners in the caverns of Xalious to survive. They’ve got to eat, after all! There’s something strange about these creatures… as well as the dragon that’s scared them off: they’re rotting from the inside-out. The smell is unmistakable and anyone sensitive to magic can sense the darkness within the beasts and eventually their victims--the dark magic from the dragon being the strongest of all, should someone get close to it. Find the necromancer, Kaibbah, that’s pulling the strings and slay him before the attacks worsen and beware the deadly blue-eyed white dragon…
  • When The Darkness Takes You
    • Two sibling followers of Arkhen, one a paladin and the other a priest, were hunting down a necromancer that was terrorizing citizens in Xalious. The necromancer proved to be too strong, even for the two of them, and they were both slain! The necromancer has disappeared, but the followers of Arkhen were brought back from the dead, left to fend for themselves and likely fall into that feral madness that takes most undead. Help them to remember who they are before the madness takes them and lead them back into the light that they once served when they were amongst the living.

Completed

  • The Missionary Man
    • Tobias Copia is a man of many faces and has been wandering Lithrydel, preaching “the good word” of the realm’s pantheon. Preying on the weak and the poor, the illusionist is powerful enough to conjure up not only multiple disguises every day, but supposed magical items that he claims will connect the devout to their chosen gods, so that they might actually have their prayers heard, and charging them a hell of a lot of gold for it. His last known locations was Cenril and Rynvale, and it seems like he’s making his way towards Gamorg and Vhys. Track him down and stop him before he swindles anyone else out of their hard-earned gold!
  • Time Of Your Life
    • A small cult of Vakmathras followers has taken to using chronomancy to magically force victims into old age, to send their souls on to the Death God early. There’s no real reason for this sort of torture, beyond an attempt to tone down the blood sacrifices--can’t be charged with murder if there’s no evidence after all!--but that’s served to be their undoing. One of their victims has managed to flee their captors and reported their unfortunate situation to the authorities, but the cultists are, for now, unaware of this. Find them and put an end to their madness.
  • A Little On The Short Side
    • Born much smaller than most of the shorter races, a gnome illusionist has decided to take revenge on those that teased them throughout their life--as well as others--under the guise of an ogre follower of Gerthaog from Gamorg. The “ogre” has been making its presence known in some of the areas known for having a large population of the smaller races: the town of Xalious, the hobbit burrows, and the Enchantment.

Warrior's Guild

Available

“A Roving Band of Ruffians"

    • Rank: E
      • Suggested Complexity: One to two RP sessions, either with a partner or via solo writing
        • Location: Outskirts of Chartsend
          • Immediate Reward: 1500 gold
            • Description: Some ne’er-do-wells have been attacking merchant caravans en route to Chartsend. Scouts report a group of five, led by a black-bearded human male nicknamed “The Fiend.” Use whatever methods are at your disposal to kill these small-time crooks or convince them to leave.

“He Killed Younglings”

    • Rank: C
      • Suggested complexity: Two to three RP sessions, preferably with a partner
        • Location: Xalious Mountain Range
          • Immediate Reward: 2500 gold
            • Description: A friendly monster rancher named Clyde returned home to his humble abode somewhere in Xalious Village to discover that his favorite litter of frost drake hatchlings have all had their heads bitten off. The marks on the victims indicate that a juvenile dragon, perhaps in a bid to mark its territory, committed the crime. Speak with Clyde for details (remember, you’re in charge of coming up with NPC banter unless I’m in the RP!) and then head out into the mountains to locate the dragon’s den and slay it in the name of lost youth.

“I’m A-Froad Not”

    • Rank: B
      • Suggested complexity: One to two challenging RP sessions; partner(s) mandatory
        • Location: Just outside the Eternal Forest
          • Immediate Reward: 4000 gold
            • Description: A hulking beast known only as a “froad” has blocked a pathway into the Eternal Forest, making returns home for forest-dwelling nobles and elves an impossibility. At thirty meters tall and slimier than a Cenril salesman, you’ll not find this easy prey. Find this foul creature and fell it posthaste. When all else fails, use fire. Bonus chance: Exemplary efficiency in roleplaying as your sload opponent will earn you extra experience and an extra 500 gold.

A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Fame

    • Rank: C
      • Suggested complexity: Two to three RP sessions, preferably with a partner
        • Location: On or near the bridge leading to Cenril
          • Immediate Reward: 2500 gold

Description: A small tribe’s worth of shapeshifters disguised as bards attempted to put on a play at Cenril’s theatre. Management was less than thrilled when the shapeshifters killed numerous extras during their live performance “for realism’s sake.” Speak with the theatre personnel in order to learn that the shapeshifters are believed to have created an encampment near the bridge outside of Cenril. Your reward will come from theatre management once you’ve offered proof of justice served against these troublemakers. Bonus chance: Be especially creative by making things harder on your characters. Have the shapeshifters transform into something that will throw off your groove and make you work harder for your pay. Additional experience and 500 extra gold will be provided.

Goblin The Name Of Love

    • Rank: B
      • Suggested complexity: Two to three RP sessions; partner(s) mandatory
        • Location: Dealer’s choice (anywhere reasonable is fine)
          • Immediate Reward: 4000 gold
            • Description: A bounty has been put out for the safe rescue of a certain male goblin who has been kidnapped for ransom money by other goblins. You must make contact with the Heck’In goblin tribe and meet with the Goblin Princess Mmm’gal, who will reveal that it is her betrothed, the would-be Goblin Prince Mmm’guy, who has been taken by the vengeful Frakk’in goblin tribe. Once you’ve learned where to find the Frakk’in goblins, it’s up to you to put an end to their madness and save Mmm’guy for his beloved Mmm’gal. Beware the Frakk’in goblin leader, Ugh’wha’tevs.

        • Location: Kelay Village
          • Immediate Reward: 1500 gold
            • Description: A recent argument between two vampires at Kelay Tavern has resulted in both parties issuing hunt marks on the other. The characters, which you will freely write as NPCs in your RP, are named Vale and Alen. Vale is a golden-haired “pretty boy”; Alen is a rough and tumbling warrior sort. Plan an attack on your chosen target, who will be hanging around Kelay lackadaisical, awaiting the death of their rival. Remember: you’re dealing with a vampire! Bonus chance: If you choose to eliminate both vampires, you will gain additional experience and 500 extra gold.
