Bregos

The undead crow Bregos first belonged to the elf Calice Greenfae. He is now the guide of her last lover, the vampire Daermon. He was the elleth's first of all creations, and has remained with her ever since. The proud looking bird is very insistent for his share of attention, and often causes situations to bring Calice into the life and business of another.

When he was first summoned from beyond the grave, the gods knew that his mistress would come to be a strong and respectable necromancer in her own right and bring truth to the practice. With her caring disposition and sad past, Calice was a perfect ambassador for death - which is commonly confused as an exclusive evil. And so they blessed Bregos as a messenger between worlds, able to carry word back from the dead to the living. She utilizes this gift to heal the pain of loss in others, and is also able to sense death surrounding another and perhaps set them off it's track for another chance at life.
